Travel mode: pre-scanning a city before you fly

Why the most useful AlignEat scan happens days before you sit down at the restaurant.

The first thing most travellers do when they land is look up restaurants. The last thing they want to do is panic-scan menus in a language they don't read while jet-lagged and hungry.

Travel Mode flips the order. Before you fly, AlignEat downloads menus, ingredient databases, and dietary translations for your destination — onto your phone, offline, ready before you board.

When you land, the answers are local. Tap any cuisine, get a list of dishes that fit your profile, and tap any restaurant to see which of its dishes you can actually order.

The feature originally shipped because we kept hearing the same story: "I bought AlignEat, then went to Tokyo and the network was bad and I couldn't use it at the moment I most needed it." Travel Mode is the answer to that.
